About RC5:

RC5 refines the use of caching, timeouts, and query strategies to significantly improve first page delivery speed. May thanks to Harold Veldhoen (@haroldveldhoen) for helping with testing this release.

Changes:

• Fixed a bug introduced in RC4 that ignored global search terms.


• Introduced a query limit parameter that restricts the number of queries per page request. Valid when used with caching, this allows incremental fetching of Twitter results, and reduces load times.


• Improved timeout handling.

We think this version has all known issues resolved, and finally delivers the performance improvements it set out to make. We think RC5 stands a good chance of becoming the production release.
