Tired of editing sites to update copyright dates? Frustrated with solutions that do half the job? So were we!
This very simple module automatically generates a site's copyright text. Just put "(c)" in the copyright string parameter and AutoCopy will insert the copyright symbol and the current year.
Need a range of years? Just put in the start year. The module is smart enough to recognize if the current year is the same as the start year, and not write something meaningless like "©2010-2010". Instead it will write "©2010" in 2010 and "©2010-2011" in 2011. That needs about two lines of code but none of the alternatives we could find did it.
Finally, if you really need to have the string (c) somewhere else in your notice, you can change the substitution text to anything you want.
